For many of us, August or September marks the start of a new academic year and the commencement of the final furlong for the May 2023 cohort. For Language A: Language & Literature, this also represents the first year in which all assessment components, including Paper 2, will be assessed. So, what can we expect?

The May 2022 Paper 1 examination was, again, an interesting couple of texts and included some fair and supportive marking. Meanwhile, two years into the course, we now have a clear idea of what is sought and being rewarded in the HL Essay and the Individual Oral (spoiler: the guidance in this site is the key to success).

Over the coming months I will be providing authentic Level 7 student responses for all of those assessments above alongside more advice and guidance on Paper 2 as we approach those assessments for the first time.  All in all, it should be a great year.
