Examiners report
It was surprising the large number of candidates who could not correctly identify the humerus and cartilage in the diagram of the elbow joint.
Many candidates also did not get marks for this section as they could not clearly state the function of the bone or of cartilage. Insertion/anchorage for attachment of muscle / acts as lever; seldom give marks for I; often vague such as ‘gives structure to arm’.
