They may refer to Aguinaldo and the circumstances leading to US colonial rule, the effectiveness of political institutions set up by the US, the disestablishment of the Catholic Church and the redistribution of church lands, educational reforms, healthcare, the economy and trade with the US, racism, social control, and violence against the Filipinos.
