The two examples may or may not be from the same region and they may or may not have been contemporaneous with each other. Long-term effects, where they existed, may extend beyond 1750, but they must be clearly linked to peacemaking efforts that occurred within the timeframe. A comparative approach may or may not be used. Candidates may refer to the success or otherwise of peacemaking in ending conflicts, securing lasting peace, resolving the causes of conflict or whether the peace, ultimately, exacerbated tensions.
